Most major vehicle repairs occur outside of your original new car factory warranty, which is why we offer various Vehicle Service Contracts to help cover unforeseen expenses.

With three coverage levels to choose from, we’ve got you protected.Depending on the age and mileage of your vehicle, you can choose up to seven additional years of protection or up to 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

We recommend all repairs or replacements be made at authorized Volvo dealerships to ensure only Volvo Genuine new or Volvo remanufactured parts are used.

Three Coverage Levels

Your Volvo Service Contract begins on the purchase date of contract. Coverage level availability may be limited based on the age, mileage, make and model of your vehicle. Deductible may apply.*

PLATINUM COVERAGE PLAN

In addition to offering the same features of Powertrain and Gold Coverage Plans, Platinum expands to cover many assemblies of your vehicle, giving you the “Ultimate Peace of Mind” protection. Certain restrictions, limitations and/or exclusions may apply.*

Platinum Is Exclusionary Coverage

This means it covers your vehicle’s assemblies unless listed under the Exclusions section of the Vehicle Service Contract.

Platinum Exclusions

Brake linings, brake drums and rotors, disc brake pads, standard manual transmission clutch friction disc, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and arm, air bags, solar-powered devices, glass, lenses, sealed beams, body parts and/or panels, weather stripping, trim, moldings, lock cylinders, tires, wheels, all batteries except hybrid/EV/hydrogen high-voltage batteries as listed under Gold Coverage, light bulbs, upholstery, paint, bright metal, freeze plugs, filters, heater and radiator hoses, exhaust system, catalytic converter, shock absorbers, work such as front-end alignment or wheel balancing (except when required in conjunction with a mechanical breakdown), safety restraint systems, audio/security or other systems not factory installed, or vinyl and convertible tops.

GOLD COVERAGE PLAN

Gold offers the following features. Certain restrictions, limitations and/or exclusions may apply.**

POWERTRAIN COVERAGE PLAN

Powertrain offers protection against covered mechanical breakdowns of the engine, transmission, and drive axle. Certain restrictions, limitations and/or exclusions may apply.**

Plan Features

All three coverage levels come with these additional features to keep you moving.*

ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION COVERAGE

Reimbursement up to $40 per day for up to 10 days per covered mechanical breakdown. Coverage includes reimbursement for public transportation, rental car services or ridesharing services using a licensed rental agency, authorized dealer or ridesharing service.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE COVERAGE

Roadside Assistance Coverage is 24-Hour $100 “Sign and Drive” service to be provided for the term of the Service Contract. Volvo Roadside Assistance includes:

• Towing to the nearest authorized Volvo dealer for mechanical disablement which renders your vehicle inoperative
• Flat Tire
• Lockout
• Jump-start

TRAVEL BREAKDOWN COVERAGE

If you’re more than 100 miles from home when you experience a covered mechanical breakdown, we will reimburse you up to $100 per day, up to $500 per occurrence, for food and lodging.

FLUIDS COVERAGE

Replacement of necessary fluids, oils, greases, lubricants, and approved air conditioner gases needed in conjunction with a covered repair.

IMPROVED RESALE

Each plan is fully transferable to a subsequent owner, making your car more appealing to potential buyers.

Replacement parts utilized in connection with a Mechanical Breakdown will be, at the discretion of FWS, new or remanufactured OEM parts, new or remanufactured aftermarket parts, or used parts that meet the quality standards of the repair facility or FWS.

FINANCING

The cost of the selected coverage level can be included in the financing of your vehicle. This product is optional, cancellable and is not required to obtain financing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This optional Vehicle Protection Plan will not pay or reimburse for mechanical breakdowns caused by misuse, abuse, negligence (including the negligence of any repair facility), improper towing, lack of maintenance of the failed covered part, contamination, damage as the result of continued operation with an overheat condition, lack of coolant or lubricants, lack of oil viscosity, sludge, restricted oil flow, salt, rust and rust damage, environmental damage, or chemicals.

No payment or reimbursement for the correction of oil consumption, repair of worn rings, or any repairs for reduction in engine efficiency that must be performed on your vehicle when a mechanical breakdown has not occurred. See service contract for complete details.

All repairs or replacements made at authorized Volvo dealerships or other repair facilities will be made using either Volvo genuine new or remanufactured parts. The Vehicle Service Contract will not cover the repair or replacement of a part that is covered by any manufacturer warranty.
